Cava de’ Tirreni, Angri, and Campagna have appointed new mayors today, following runoff elections that saw a significant drop in voter turnout compared to the first round.

In Cava de’ Tirreni, Raffaele Giordano, a civic candidate from the center-right, triumphed over Luigi Petrone, who was backed by the ‘La Fratellanza’ and ‘Nuovi Orizzonti’ lists.

The electoral contest in Angri, which featured a rivalry between uncle and nephew, concluded with the latter’s victory.

Alfonso Scoppa is the newly elected mayor, securing 57.85% of the votes. His uncle, Pasquale Mauri, a former mayor, garnered approximately 42% of the support.
Campagna has elected its first female mayor. Adele Amoruso, leading a coalition of civic lists, achieved 51.55 percent of the votes.
